Mother of two daughters, Brigid O'Keefe Kirkpatrick, an architect in Winter Park, Fl., and Catlin Kirkpatrick Taylor, married, and currently living in Maitland, Florida. Kenna lives with the photojournalist Chris Bolton in a house they restored, although they are looking for something at the beach. Chris is working on two projects: 1. Florida Sin Alma and 2. Lost Orlando.

Employed as a professor of Anthropology and Psychology at Seminole State College. She was formerly trained and worked as a clinical psychologist until matriculating in the anthropology dept. of La Universidad Autonomo de Yucatan in 1992-93. She is currently the SCC Sprint Endowed Teaching Chair and her classes are online which gives her more time to think and research. She went to Costa Rica in the summer of 2006 to participate in a USF project in assessing health problems and finished a piece of research on water solutions in the Monte Verde. She also went to Mexico, for the second time, as an international observer for their presidential elections.

Professor Noone was the recipient of the 1998 Pathfinder Award at Seminole Community College for her work with the college-wide project: El Proyecto de Mexico: Amistad. She was also a finalist that year for the Florida Association of Community College Professor of the Year. She is a member of the Honors Faculty at SCC. Kenna helped start the library at Tulum but the library at Coba was one of her favorite projects. The library started with 3000 volumes and now it has 8000 volumes!

She was granted a U.S. Gov't research license in 2007 for working in Cuba. She visited Cuba for the second time in March 2007 for more research on water. She is planning to return to Cuba in 2008
.

Besides fishing, Kenna likes to boogie board.

Update for 2007: She and Chris just returned from a week surfing and boogie boarding at the 30th reunion of Kent's Surf shop on Cocoa Beach. Basically, its about water!

Kids Brigid, Catlin and adopted daughter Selene are doing great. They live close by and are over for dinner and dropping off grandchildren. The daughters and grandaugters and 'Nana " went to Cabbage Key for a TVless fishing weekend with no shoes in August. Also in August, Chris and Kenna went to Mexico City for the new Frida Kahlo exhibit and visiting markets. Sisters Mickey and Mary Louise are doing great as well. All the sisters, daughters and neices went for a girl's weekend to NYC for plays in October.

Daughter Catlin Kirkpatrick Jones and her husband Newtopn Jones live 2 miles north of Kenna and Chris and have three daughters. Daughter Brigid and her Husband Robert Davidescu (both architects) live three miles south of Kenna and Chris have a son Finn. Once school starts, Kenna and Chris will see all the kids every day , as the school the kids attend is only three blocks from their house. And the kids will walk home in the afternoon to Nana and Papa's house.

Update for 2009: Kenna has retired (from both Rollins College and Seminole College)and is working on a project that helps people access bacteria free water. We just spent two weeks in Mexico to search for and identify a project site. The pilot program will take place next May in a small Maya pueblo (pop: 400) called San Juan that is about 10 Km. west of Coba in Quintana Roo, Mexico.

So in retirement, hopefully Chris and Kenna will spend about three months a year in Quintana Roo working and playing. The libraries in Tulum and Coba are doing well. Coba now has a bigger building and 8000 books! Chris just had an exhibition of his work (24 photos) and is working on his website. he retires next year from teaching but never from being a doumentary photographer. He is in negoitions to have a show in Mexico City next year and wants one in the Casa de Cultura in Coba..
